What to Do in Mississauga on Weekends

The weekend is here and you still don’t know what to do in Mississauga? Don’t you worry, we’ve got you covered. Whether you’re looking for a fun night out, or a day of playing games, you’ll find what you’re looking for in this list of what to do in Mississauga.

Watch the Raptors 905

Going to a Toronto Raptors game will burn a hole in your pocket, but if you’re looking to cheer on a basketball team at a spirited sports event, then check out the Raptors 905 this weekend in the NBA Development League.  They play at the Hersey’s Centre in Mississauga, so it’s more convenient than going downtown Toronto, and the tickets start at only $14 each.

Playdium

For those of you gamers out there, you should release your inner child this weekend at Playdium with their 40,000 square feet of virtual, physical and interactive entertainment.  In the warmer months of the year, Playdium opens their 1.2km outdoor go-karting track.

Port Credit

Take a walk through this quaint community for date night with your partner, or a day outing with your family.  There is plenty to do in Port Credit, from going to a nice dinner, shopping at the locally-owned boutiques, or sitting by the lake and watching the boats.

Dancing

Let loose on Saturday night at the Blue Suede Sue’s night club.  Dance the night away on the dancefloor with your friends to local DJ’s.

Shopping

Treat yourself to a little retail therapy this weekend at one of Mississauga’s many shopping centres.  Square One is the largest shopping mall in Ontario, and the second largest in Canada, so you’ll be sure to find what you’re looking for here. Other notable shopping centres include Dixie Outlet Mall, Heartland Town Centre, and Erin Mills Town Centre.
