What Are You Doing This Canada Day?

On Saturday July 1st, 2017, Canada will celebrate its 150th anniversary as a country since Confederation in 1867! 

Looking for something fun to do in Mississauga this Canada Day? Check out these exciting events taking place in the city during Canada Day weekend!

[one_half last=”no”]1. “Paint the Town Red” in Port Credit!

For the first time in over a decade, this popular event in Port Credit, Mississauga will take place over 2 days! Join the mayor, MP and other members of the community to watch the Canada Day Parade during the day and fireworks display at night!

There will be food and craft vendors, musicians, artists, youth groups, kids entertainers and a kids park to enjoy! Don’t forget to bring your lawn chairs to sit and watch the gorgeous fireworks after 10pm. More info on schedules and parade routes here.

When: July 1, 2017 (11am-10:30pm)

           July 2, 2017 (12pm-7:20pm)

                *Fireworks start at 10:05pm

Come celebrate 150 years of Canada at Celebration Square in downtown Mississauga! There will be live performances and a concert with well-known Canadian musicians of international and local backgrounds! More info here.

Don’t forget to try out the food trucks – there are 25 to choose from – and bring the kids to play with the activities hosted by Camp Canuck! Lastly, stay up late and watch the gorgeous fireworks display at night!
