6 Places To Visit In Mississauga In The Spring

Now that we are officially in the spring season, it’s time you get outside and enjoy the nice weather.  There is plenty of beautiful scenery to see and fun activities to do in Mississauga during this time of year.  Keep reading for our favourite things to do and places to visit in Mississauga during the spring.

 

Kariya Park

This beautiful park has Japanese inspired landscape, a large pond, cherry blossom trees, and much more.  Take a stroll through this peaceful garden to escape the hustle and bustle of the city, and witness the cherry blossom trees in full bloom.  The park was created to honour Kariya City, Japan, which has a twin-city relationship with Mississauga.

 

Port Credit

This charming community is located on Lake Ontario, boasts beautiful views of the lakeshore, and is one of our favourite places to visit in Mississauga.  The iconic lighthouse can be seen from miles away when lit up at night.  Enjoy a meal at one of the town’s many restaurants, have a laugh at the comedy club, or even watch the boats go out into the lake.

 

Jack Darling Memorial Park

This large recreational area is a peaceful place to spend time with family and friends on the weekend. Located by the waterfront in Port Credit, the Jack Darling Memorial Park is perfect for a picnic on a nice spring day. People of all cultures and nationalities gather at this park with their families, friends, and pets to relax, play sports and enjoy themselves.

 

Rattray Marsh Conservation Area

This unique conservation area is one that should not be missed.  The Rattray Marsh in location on the Lake Ontario shoreline and offers a natural cobblestone beach.  The marsh boasts several walking trails to explore nature, go bird watching, and snap some beautiful photographs.

 

Streetsville

Go-Kart

For those of you who are more on the adventurous side and looking for a thrilling go-karting experience, Playdium is definitely one of the best places to visit in Mississauga.  Playdium is home to one of the longest go-kart track in Ontario, with a 1.2-kilometer track that won’t disappoint.
